EXCLUSIVE: Actress-singer-songwriter Kathleen “Bird” York has joined the cast of Lifetime’s new series The Client List as a series regular. Based on the network’s 2010 original movie, the Sony TV-produced drama stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as Riley, a Texas housewife who, after being deserted by her husband, ends up running a massage parlor which serves as a front for a call girl service. York will play Jolene, a  masseuse at the parlor. York, repped by Bauman Redanty and Shaul, is best known for her role on The West Wing and her Oscar-nominated song from Crash.

Art will be imitating life in Lifetime’s two-hour original movie/backdoor pilot Sworn to Silence, starring and co-executive produced by Neve Campbell. Campbell’s brother, actor Christian Campbell, has been cast in the project, set in an Amish farming community that was shaken up by a series of brutal murders 15 years ago. It centers on Kate Burkholder (Neve Campbell), who as a young girl survived the terror and left the Amish life behind, and now returns to Painter’s Mill as its chief of police. Christian Campbell will play Kate’s brother. This is the first time the two will play siblings. Neve and Christian Campbell previously appeared together in Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical and the 1998 feature Hairshirt. Christian Campbell, who played the lead role in the Broadway production and Showtime adaptation of Reefer Madness, recently recurred on HBO’s Big Love. He is with Buchwald/Fortitude and Untitled. It is rare for acting relatives to play characters with the same blood relation on a regular basis in a TV series. In addition to the Campbells, Laura Dern and Diane Ladd play daughter and mother on the HBO comedy series Enlightened.
