SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., January 26, 2012 – ITV Studios America has entered into a first look development deal with veteran non-scripted television executive producer Simon Howley through his company Kowalski, it was announced today by Bruce Robertson, Senior Vice President Creative Strategy, ITV Studios America.

Howley is  CEO of Kowalski, which has been  developing  multiple projects for the BBC, Five, Sky and C4 in the UK  as well as US networks National Geographic, Spike, ESPN, Lifetime, Bravo, CBS, the CW, MSNBC, Sundance, ABC and A&E.

Before that Howley was an Executive Producer at Firefly/Dragonfly (Shine), where he produced such series as  “Life or Death” for the Discovery Channel, “Pirate Gold” for National Geographic, “Britain’s Close Encounters” for Five and Mark Dolan’s “The World’s…and Me” for Channel 4, as well as a wide range of documentaries from broadcasters in the UK and US. “Simon has a great track record of creating and producing programming embraced by both UK and US broadcasters. His success as a non-scripted producer will be invaluable to ITV Studios America’s development as we continue to expand our company,” Robertson said.
