Last night’s NFL season-opener on NBC between the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints scored a 17.2 overnight rating/28 share in the metered markets from 8:45-11:45 PM ET. That was down 3% from last year’s record-breaking kickoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Saints but still ranked as the second-highest-rated NFL Kickoff game ever.
