The curtain shot, in which Two and a Half Men stars Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones “sing” the series’ theme tune “Men men men men, manly men men men” has served as the series’ main title since its launch. Today, CBS and Men producer Warner Bros TV released a new promo photo for the revamped Two and a Half Men with new leading man Ashton Kutcher that features him and co-stars Cryer and Jones in the very same setup. I understand that this was not a shot taken doing the taping of a new main title for the show but just a promo photo shoot — no main title has been filmed yet. This is the second promotional image for the new Men, following last week’s “naked” poster. Production on the show is slated to begin next week for a Sept. 19 premiere.

Aston should get rid of the long hair & beard. The nicest thing about the previous 2 & a half men was the appearances of the men. They were clean cut & shaven. Charlie Sheen made the show. I think Sheen & the producers should have met in therapy to solve their indifferences. I give the show only 1 year, even if that long to survive. I know I won’t care to watch the show without Charlie. Boo to the revamped 2 & a half men!!!! Charlie Sheen made the whole show. CBS should have given him another chance! They will lose millions with their decision to cancel him from the show.
Send Aston back to Nikon and bring Charlie Sheen back to the show!!!! He deserves it!!!!!

This just does not look right. Charlie and Jon were a far better fit. Ashton and Jon are two completely different age groups and life experiences to be a good duo together.
Notice how Ashton is now wearing the red bow tie and standing in the middle? Angus is wearing the red bow tie and standing in the middle of the old photo. It appears that Ashton is now officially the “Half Man”, and Angus is replacing Charlie.
my thought and was going to be my comment as well. The 1/2 man has grown up and is now one of the men, and Ashton is now the 1/2 which sets a good premise and tons of story lines.
I’m pretty sure the idea of the title has always been that the Sheen character was the “half man” of the three guys.

My curiosity is peaked. I will tune in to watch. I hope the writing staff works overtime to ensure that the ratings are sky high. I despise Charlie Sheen and I want to see that SOB eat humble pie. Although this type of casting change to an established series rarely works out for the long haul, a few come to mind such as MASH, Cheers and Bewitched that seemed to continue successfully for years after the replacement of a principal cast member.

Who designed this horrible promo pic? Charlie Sheen? Replacing Sheen with Kutcher was a brilliant move! Kutcher’s a very goodlooking young guy with a gift for self-deprecating humor and charm to spare. His “new” look (ratty long hair, scraggly beard and mustache, unbecoming smirk) is an instant turnoff, a harbinger of rock-bottom ratings and quick cancellation. Advice to Ashton: call your agent immediately. This sinking ship has sunk. You deserve your own TV show! And Charlie, please get help before it’s too late. As Bill Maher recently remarked, today’s Charlie Sheen is not the nice guy he used to know, and the only certain thing looming in your future is a body bag.

What is wrong with all of you? Do you not see that Jon Crior is the true talent, and always has been. He was the funniest part of that show to begin with….Charlie Sheen played a great straight man….but it’s Crior who has the true comedic talent. This show is going to do just fine as long as they come up with a good “character” for Ashton Kutcher. Can’t believe that anyone ever thought that Charlie Sheen was the “star” of Two and a Half Men!!!
