Che star Benicio Del Toro is back in Havana, making his directing debut on one of seven segments that will make up the feature 7 Days in Havana. Seven directors each take on each day of the week with storylines that take advantage of the countryside to provide a slice of life from the city. Recurring characters provide connective tissue between the segments. The other segments are being directed by Laurent Cantet, Gaspar Noe, Elia Suleiman, Pablo Trapero, Julio Medem and Juan Carlos Tabio.

Del Toro’s segment, Monday, is being shot as a documentary, and it stars Josh Hutcherson as he explores the culture of the island for the first time. Hutcherson starred in The Kids Are All Right and just wrapped the Journey to the Center of the Earth sequel Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Full House and Morena Films are producing the documentary. Che producer Laura Bickford is executive producer, and Alvaro Longoria is producing Del Toro’s short.
