Josh Lucas, already a candidate to play the 16th President in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, has landed the role of aviator Charles Lindbergh in the Clint Eastwood-directed J. Edgar for Warner Bros. Leonardo DiCaprio stars as the FBI head and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment is producing with Eastwood’s Malpaso. Lucas next stars opposite Matthew McConaughey in The Lincoln Lawyer. He’s repped by WME.

That Lincoln Lawyer thing looks like a toa. Turd on arrival. Who is in charge of MM’s? career these days? The same people who handled Jimmy Fallon’s career?
That guy needs to get back to being charming and funny, because he can’t act and he’s rapidly looking more and more like Barbara Streissand
DiCaprio? As J. Edgar Hoover? Really?
Bwwaaaaaaahaaaaahaaaahaaaa….
I don’t suppose you can actually describe WHY you think DiCaprio is a bad choice. And “he just sucks” doesn’t cout.
unlike what you may think about Leo.Hes a very good actor. But I dont see him playing a short fat balding Hoover Bad move Clint
Hoover wasn’t born a fat balding man, Bill. Most of the movie takes place in his early career, and aging makeup will be used during the sequences that take place in his elderly years. Leo is a great choice, and with Clint as director I can’t see how this could go wrong.
J. Edgar Hoover sucks, that’s why.
Is Leonardo DiScrunchyfaceCaprio the most perpetually miscast “stah” in history? What is he doing in a Clint “A man’s gotta know his LIMITATIONS” Eastwood film playing J. Edgar Hoover? I am still recovering from seeing the trailer for this film this past weekend…I propose the following drinking game: Whenever Leo scrunches face in attempt to “emote, emote!” a shot must be downed.
Having bucket nearby would be a VERY good idea.
Wow, George. Tell us how you REALLY feel about Matthew.
loving the josh lucas comeback. great actor and really nice guy. good actors and actresses get thrown on the scrap heap unless they keep making coin (unlucky for him he starred in studio mistake, poseidon) and only star directors can resuscitate those careers. happened for jeff bridges (every time you’d bring his name up in meetings it would be ‘unbankable’, despite his huge talent). very happy to see him back.
Love Josh Lucas but heard he is no longer in contention for Abe Lincoln. Does anyone know if this is true? Great casting for him in Clint Eastwood’s film.
I’m going to have to agree with the Lucas love from some people here. Thought he was brilliant in The Deep End, in a small role.
Just saw josh lucas in life as we know it…movie sucked but made me wonder why this guy doesn’t get lead roles. He is brilliant and charming…love him. Too bad he didn’t get the abe lincoln role.
