EXCLUSIVE: Studio Lambert, the television production company behind the CBS reality  series Undercover Boss, has inked a production partnership deal with indie U.K. production company betty. Under the pact, betty’s UK-created formats will be produced  in the U.S. with Studio Lambert. Since its 2001 launch, betty, run by CEO Liz Warner and her business partner Walter Iuzzolino,  has created a number of unscripted series and formats, including the BBC Three’s docu series Freaky Eaters, which has been remade in the U.S. by TLC, and the upcoming controversial Channel 4 show Beauty and the Beast, which has an attractive and an physically disfigured person share a house.

Founded by Stephen Lambert (Wife Swap), Studio Lambert launched its U.S. operations less two years ago with Project Runway creator Eli Holzman who was recently upped to president of Studio Lambert USA. The company’s series roster  includes docu-comedy Mel B: It’s a Scary World on Style, Southern Fried Stings on truTV, and The Fairy Jobmother, which just premiered on Lifetime. “We are committed to bringing some of the most successful and daring formats in the U.K. to the states,” says Studio Lambert CEO, Stephen Lambert. “Liz and Walter are two of the most creative people working in British television right now and Eli and I look forward to working with them on producing their shows for American audiences.”
