Roadside Attractions bought US rights to Garden of Eden, the John Irvin-directed adaptation of the Ernest Hemingway novel that stars Mena Suvari and Jack Huston as a young couple on extended honeymoon in Europe in the 1920s. Bored, she tests her writer husband’s devotion and pushes the limits of her erotic imagination by luring a sultry Italian girl (Caterina Murino) into their inner circle. Richard E Grant, Matthew Modine and Carmen Maura also star. The novel was adapted by ex-Paris Review editor James Scott Linville. The book, Hemingway’s last, was published posthumously in 1986.
