baftalogoLos Angeles, CA, July 21, 2010 – The British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles (BAFTA/LA) has teamed up with Warner Bros Pictures and Warner Home Video, The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation (Parks After Dark) and The City of Los Angeles, Office of The Mayor, Antonio R. Villaraigosa, The Gang Reduction Youth Development and The Department of Recreation and Parks (Summer Night Lights) programs, to host a free summer screening series. Over the summer, BAFTA/LA will simultaneously screen nine Warner Bros Pictures and Warner Home Video titles in six county parks and 24 city parks across Los Angeles.

The complete list of Warner Bros Pictures films to be screened are Superman II, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Beetlejuice, Cats and Dogs, The Iron Giant, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, March of the Penguins, The Goonies and Happy Feet. Participating County Parks are: Athens Park, Belvedere Park, Lennox Park, Pamela Park, Roosevelt Park,and Ted Watkins Park. Participating City Parks are: Costello (Lou Costello) Recreation Center, Cypress Park Recreation Center, Delano Recreation Center, Glassell Park Recreation Center, Highland Park Recreation Center, Hubert Humphrey Recreation Center, Imperial Courts Recreation Center, Jackie Tatum/Harvard Recreation Center, Jim Gilliam Recreation Center, Jordan Downs Recreation Center, Lake Street Recreation Center, Lemon Grove Recreation Center, M.L.K. Recreation Center, Mt. Carmel Recreation Center, Normandale Recreation Center, Ramon Garcia Recreation Center, Ramona Gardens Recreation Center, Ross Snyder Recreation Center, Sepulveda Recreation Center, Slauson Recreation Center, South Park Recreation Center, Valley Plaza Recreation Center, Van Ness Recreation Center and William Nickerson Recreation Center.
