Conan O’Brien’s interview on 60 Minutes, his first since leaving The Tonight Show, drew a 2.2 rating/8 share in adults 18-49 and 13.3 million viewers overall, giving the venerable CBS newsmagazine a big 38% week-to-week ratings boost among adults 18-49. Still, that was 12% down from the show’s season average.
Heading into the resolution of this season’s mysteries, ABC’s Desperate Housewives (3.7/10) was up 9% in the demo from last week, lifting lead-out Brothers & Sisters (2.5/7) by the same amount.
At NBC, Celebrity Apprentice (2.6/7), which was boosted by the news coverage of contestant Bret Michaels’ illness last week, was down 16% last night, even though its lead-in Minute to Win It (1.9/6) was up 6% and CBS didn’t pit hit Undercover Boss against it. (CBS aired back-to-back episodes of Cold Case, 2.0/5, 2.2/6). Fox’s animated block was pretty much flat week-to-week. ABC won the night in 18-49 (2.6/7), while CBS was tops in total viewers (10.9 million)
