EXCLUSIVE: Amanda Posey, one of the producers of the Oscar-nominated movie, plans to shoot Their Finest Hour And A Half next year. Posey is producing with long-time associate Stephen Woolley (Made In Dagenham). The pair previously made the original Fever Pitch together. TV writer Gabby Chiappe is adapting Lissa Evans’ novel, which was nominated for last year’s Orange literary prize. Their Finest Hour and a Half follows the misadventures of a British film crew trying to make a patriotic film to boost morale after the Blitz. BBC Films is backing the project. Posey is also developing A Long Way Down, based on Nick Hornby’s novel, for Film4. “This project appealed to me because growing up in London in the 60s wartime bomb damage was still all around you,” Woolley tells me. “It’s also very funny.”
