Michael Bay Speaks Up: “I Don’t Condone Crew Letter Or Megan Fox Quotes”
Three of Michael Bay’s crew members asked his website last night to post their response to Megan Fox’s recent insults of the director made to a magazine for her upcoming Jennifer’s Body. (She accused Bay of wanting to “be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for.”) Now the crew get even and detail why she‘s the nightmare. I love when there’s honesty in Hollywood. Remember what the crew did to Bruce Willis way back when?:
This is an open letter to all Michael Bay fans. We are three crew members that have worked with Michael for the past ten years. Last week we read the terrible article with inflammatory, truly trashing quotes by the Ms. Fox about Michael Bay. This letter is to set a few things straight.
Yes, Megan has great eyes, a tight stomach we spray with glycerin, and an awful silly Marilyn Monroe tattoo plastered on her arm that we cover up to keep the moms happy.
Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses’ life. He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth. She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina – second thought – she’s no Angelina. You see, Angelia is a professional.
We know this quite intimately because we’ve had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies. We’ve spent a total of 12 months on set making these two movies.
We are in different departments; we can’t give our names because sadly doing so in Hollywood could lead to being banished from future Paramount work. One of us touches Megan’s panties, the other has the often shitty job of pulling Ms. Sourpants out of her trailer, while another is near the Panaflex camera that helps to memorialize the valley girl on film.
Megan has the press fooled. When we read those magazines we wish we worked with that woman. Megan knows how to work her smile for the press. Those writers should try being on set for two movies, sadly she never smiles. The cast, crew and director make Transformers a really fun and energetic set. We’ve traveled around the world together, so we have never understood why Megan was always such the grump of the set?
When facing the press, Megan is the queen of talking trailer trash and posing like a porn star. And yes we’ve had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set, and yes, it’s very cringe-able. So maybe, being a porn star in the future might be a good career option. But make-up beware, she has a paragraph tattooed to her backside (probably due her rotten childhood) — easily another 45 minutes in the chair!
So when the three of us caught wind of Ms Fox, pontificating yet again in some publication (like she actually has something interesting to say) blabbing her trash mouth about a director whom we three have grown to really like. She compared working with Michael, to “working with Hitler”. We actually don’t think she knows who Hitler is by the way. But we wondered how she doesn’t realize what a disgusting, fully uneducated comment this was? Well, here let’s get some facts straight.
Say what you want about Michael – yes at times he can be hard, but he’s also fun, and he challenges everyone for a reason – he simply wants people to bring their ‘A’ game. He comes very prepared, knows exactly what he wants, involves the crew and expects everyone to follow through with his or her best, and that includes the actors. He’s one of the hardest working directors out there.
He gets the best from his crews, many of whom have worked with him for 15 years. And yes, he’s loyal, one of the few directors we’ve encountered who lowered his fee by millions to keep Transformers in the United States and California, so he could work with his own crew.
Megan says that Transformers was an unsafe set? Come on Megan, we know it is a bit more strenuous then the playground at the trailer park, but you don’t insult one of the very best stunt and physical effects teams in the business! Not one person got hurt!
And who is the real Megan Fox? She is very different than the academy nominee and winning actors we’ve all worked around. She’s as about ungracious a person as you can ever fathom. She shows little interest in the crew members around her. We work to make her look good in every way, but she’s absolutely never appreciative of anyone’s hard work. Never a thank you. All the crewmembers have stopped saying hi to Ms. Princess because she never says hello back. It gets tiring. Many think she just really hates the process of being an actress.
Megan has been late to the sets many times. She goes through the motions that make her exude this sense of misery. We’ve heard the A.D’s piped over the radio that Megan won’t walk from her trailer until John Turturro walks first! John’s done seventy-five movies and she’s made two!
Never expect Megan to attend any of the 15 or so crew parties like all the other actors have. And then there’s the classless night she blew off The Royal Prince of Jordan who made a special dinner for all the actors. She doesn’t know that one of the grips’ daughters wanted to visit their daddy’s work to meet Megan, but he wouldn’t let them come because he told them “she is not nice.”
The press certainly doesn’t know her most famous line. On our first day in Egypt, the Egyptian government wouldn’t let us shoot because of a permit problem as the actors got ready in make up at the Four Seasons Hotel. Michael tried to make the best of it; he wanted to take the cast and crew on a private tour of the famous Giza pyramids. God hold us witness, Megan said, “I can’t believe Michael is fucking forcing us to go to the fucking pyramids!” I guess this is the “Hitler guy” she is referring to.
So this is the Megan Fox you don’t get to see. Maybe she will learn, but we figure if she can sling insults, then she can take them too. Megan really is a thankless, classless, graceless, and shall we say unfriendly bitch. It’s sad how fame can twist people, and even sadder that young girls look up to her. If only they knew who they’re really looking up to.
But ‘fame’ is fleeting. We, being behind the scenes, seen em’ come and go. Hopefully Michael will have Megatron squish her character in the first ten minutes of Transformers 3. We can tell you that will make the crew happy!

Wow, what a rant. And from crew members as young as the actress they are criticizing. A lot of the “couch time” has been spent by these crew people that have not had the years of experience in the business. There is nothing new to the anguish they are feeling about comments made by an actress to the press. They just haven’t been around long enough to know it has existed, it does exist and it will continue to exist, in this business.
If you can’t have an effect on change, don’t try to change something you have no control over. Senseless as all the comments on both sides will take in this matter, it means nothing to publicize a rebuttal to an actor’s press comments.
Let see, so this is from a wardrobe person, a camera assistant and an AD department. So, with that a quick check of the crew list via IMDB or printed crew lists could yield the names of people associated with this rant. Does this constitute talking about the film signed under the confidentiality concern of paranoid studio legal? Or is it good publicity.
The comments made by the actress in question are no different from other actresses/actors have made and continued on in their careers to garnish all accolades trailing up to and inclusive of the Academy Awards, some with less talent than you can imagine. But the business has a way to let those with the questionable talent ascend if but for the reason of masses’ pleasure.
Do some homework, toughen the skin, report to work, suck up if you must.
This is bullshit! I commend and respect the crew for having the balls to stand up and say what’s on their mind. I’m tired of people kissing ass (which you seem to do too) to these young, ungrateful, untalented, spoiled brats, who somehow seem to rise to fame. Yes, Megan is a pretty girl, but is sad that that is all she has going for her. We live in a country where the 1st amendment is freedom of speech. Megan certainly utilized it, so why is it so wrong for the crew members to do so? I’m glad they voiced their opinions and facts. Toughen the skin? This comment was probably written by one of Meagan’s publicists. These guys sound pretty sincere! She is a obviously a little diva, in the truest sense of the word…and clearly immature. I understand that Bay’s films draw heavy money at the box office, but I think that’s more a commentary on the sophistication, or lack there of, of the American movie going audience than an affirmation of Bay’s brilliance as a film director. His movie’s are brainless simplifications of what could otherwise be fairly decent films if a more reserved director were to helm the project. I get the sense that anytime Bay hits a bump in the road during production, for instance, say a gaping hole in the plot is brought to his attention, he just says “Well, let’s throw a few more explosions into the movie and people will never notice the plot problems.”
Box office doesn’t mean a lot when it comes to movies. Michael Bay is one of the lowest grade directors out there making terrible movies filled with more special effects than you can shake a stick at. The simple fact is, his movies have nothing but pretty explosions and bad acting and even worse stories flooded with plot holes. Why people defend his awful movies is beyond me, you should hitch on to a real director, no one with the “talent” of Michael Bay deserves any respect. He has yet to make a movie that consisted of anything MORE than a powerful set of special effects, which does not make a good movie.

I agree with Kris. The only balls these three have is that they actually call themselves professionals. It’s painfully obvious that they just want to please Michael. She didn’t say thank you and chose to speak her mind. Wow, that’s tough. Try being on set with an actress who dictates her lighting. Try working with an A-list actor who halts production on a feature for 6 months until it gets dropped all together JUST because he “couldn’t get in to character”. Ask anyone who’s spent 800+ days on set, I’m sure they’re chalk full of stories similar to mine. This is a tough business. It’s nice to hear Bay is cool and loyal to crew, but I know people who work(ed) for him pretty intensely, and let’s just say his coolness and loyalty has never really come up in conversation.
This is from a real Transformers crew member( only on the good one- didn’t do the Bay run shitty second one) and I can tell you one thing there is no way that you could ever find three crew members who support Bay period. I was asked back for the second and said no way, life is too short. Megan is a doll to work with and the “real crew” will stand behind her 100 percent.

A doll to work with? Have you read the Cosmo interview she was recently in? She admits how much of a bitch she is and how little she cares about how that affects other people. The fact that the person even said she’s a doll to work with shows that they are NOT a real crew member. The girl is a spoiled little twit. No one likes her for more than her big lips and nice body. I thought from the first frame I saw her that she looked like the average, porn “star”. My comment to a friend was that if this is today’s idea of “hot” with the teen crowd that a whole lot of parent should have installed a lot more downloads of NetNanny. Hollywood fights are fun! However, I have to wonder who these people are on the set because their positions may warrant different relationships with Mr. Bay.
Also, people really need to work on their grammar. I know it’s nit-picking, but “than” is the comparative form and periods go inside quotation marks.
By the way everyone here is a clue. Everyone has a certain amount of phrases they use a whole lot like “bring your A game”. Notice it is in the letter above and if you google Michael Bay “bringing your a game” alas it pops up in past Bay quotes alot. Such as:
Another memo seemed to have found Bay in a much calmer mood however. He wrote to Paramount a month later, thanking them for bringing their “A game” for the film’s release.
Now Bay’s little Toady on his website Nelson knows the truth and if the heat gets too much and Bay is exposed for writing the above letter I am sure he will point a finger at his webmaster or some other “fan” when the crew members cannot be found.

Or, because of one stupid whiny random comment on this site did someone think to inflate it into an event. Geez, this woman must be awfully powerful to upset so many ‘important’ men. It never ceases to amaze how incredibly spiteful and hysterical grown men can be when they perceive an attractive woman has ignored them. Grow up and quit whining. Who would want to talk to someone this whiny and spiteful. Megan Fox is not there to court you, she’s there to do her job which it seems she did. Your big complaint is she didn’t say thank you, didn’t hang out with you, and has tattoos? And they say women are catty and emotional. Also, Megan Fox was not an unknown. She was a main player on an ABC primetime sitcom, dated the 90210 guy and was in that Lindsay Lohan movie. And from what seems to be widespread opinion Michael Bay is no great treat. Good for Megan Fox for revealing that car wash thing he made her do which may be what all this is about. Any time a woman is outspoken and opinionated the men gang up to bring her down, especially if the woman is attractive and ignored them. Hopefully this won’t kill her spirit. She comes out looking good from this.

It may be petty, but it’s sure fun to read their accounts of working with her. And I think you can treat your crew with respect without being best friends with them. Saying hello when someone says hi to you is a pretty basic communication skill. I don’t think she comes out looking good at all because it’s not a matter of being outspoken. It’s a matter of not knowing when to just shut the fuck up and be thankful to the director who gave you your start.
Yeah it’s all petty, and all for feminism, but Megan Fox is the exact opposite. She is someone that got cast not for her talent, but for the way she looks. Ask a group of women if they find her attractive, then ask a group of men. I’m willing to bet the women thinks she looks like a porn star, and that’s exactly why the men like her.
But this isn’t her standing up to the “men” in Hollywood. This is someone being very unprofessional, and ungrateful. Transformers is one the highest grossing franchises in the world, and without Bay she’d still be famous for dating that “90210 guy.” No one would know who she was without him, and the only thing I don’t agree with about this entire situation is why she was ever cast in the first place. Seeing her act is like torture.

I have read articles describing Bay as the way Ms Fox describes him, and describing Ms Fox as the way the Transformers crew describe her. Im inclined to believe both statements are true.
