NBC is under fire for using Brian William’s sitdown time with President Obama to make informercials for its entertainment shows. There was Brian Williams and Obama taping a plug for Conan O’Brien’s first week on The Tonight Show. And a plug for Fred Armisen’s Obama impression on Saturday Night Live. Like conservatives don’t already consider NBC News and MSNBC to be the No-Bama-Criticism networks. (But not CNBC where Obama can’t catch a break.) No surprise that there’s now a backlash over this NBC News/NBC Entertainment cross-promotion with the White House — like this comment on a right-wing website: “Obama owes NBC so much for shilling for him, he wanted to shill back.” The videos are below.
