Screenwriters Nominated for Writers Guild and Academy Awards To Discuss Their Films at Beyond Words 2009

WHAT: Leading up to the 2009 Writers Guild Awards on Sat. 2/7, this year’s annual Beyond Words panel discussion on Thursday February 5th will feature an exciting line-up of screenwriters nominated for Writers Guild and Academy Awards in both Original and Adapted Screenplay categories.

Presented by the Writers Guild of America, West, the Writers Guild Foundation, and Variety, the panel discussion will be moderated by past Writers Guild Award nominee writer/director Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin). Proceeds benefit the Writers Guild Foundation.

WHO: Screenwriter panelists include: Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire), Dustin Lance Black (Milk), Tom McCarthy (The Visitor), Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight), and Eric Roth (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). WGAW President Patric M. Verrone and Variety’s Cynthia Littleton are set to introduce the event.
