Well deserved award. Nice acceptance speech. Oscars, here he comes: More profanity please!
Nervous, ABC? Nah.
Both the Award (deserved) and the speech would be perfect for the ratings.
great speach in a what was a truly dreadful eve. Jonathan Ross is painful to watch
I really enjoyed the BAFTA awards last night. I was so pleased to Mickey Rourke back in the limelight. And the Brits even top the Grammy award with thier version of awards.
Did anyone see him fist pump Harvey in that clip – hilarious!!!
Mickey is one of the few who makes profanity somehow charming. Here’s hoping he gets another chance to thank everyone again in a few weeks. I feel a bit of my girlhood crush returning…*blush*
Great speech. Very heartfelt and genuine…even with the profanity. And who doesn’t love an F-Bomb here and there on a televised event?
Actually, the other hardest job in showbiz is being Charlie Sheen’s PR-guy … or, Christian Bale’s
Mickey … one in a million for sure!
If this moke doesn’t get the Oscar … the fix was in!
Lovely speech. I hope he wins the Oscar as he was phenomenal (Sean Penn was great as well, but he’s got one already.)
Any chance Mickey will EVER thank the film’s author?
Give Robert Siegel some love, Mickey!
Rourke’s a rockstar!
His on stage charisma clearly apparent from his early work in BODYHEAT, DINER and POPE OF GREENWICH VILLAGE.
Great to see someone with such talent come back from the abyss, and come back swinging. It’s breaks like Mickey’s that make showbiz so fascinating. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.
Hope too see him in many more quality films in the future.
That is one real acceptance speech you will ever get. No facade, no mask, no pretending at all. This is a man that was already with his 5th foot in the grave and yet managed to dig himself out from it
Not going to bother on the ‘other’ nominees cause Mickey is the deserving winner
