I’ve confirmed that Universal Pictures boss Marc Shmuger wasn’t told that he’ll be representing Old Media on a hastily thrown together panel discussion tonight. Or that he wasn’t even first, second or third choice, and didn’t know that either. So either the studio flack he fired set him up (nice bit of revenge by Stacy Ivers), or else his new mouthpiece didn’t scope out the situation adequately enough. But it’s good to know that, from now on, Shmuger is available for supermarket openings.
Does Shmuger Have Trouble Saying No?
