So many parties, so little interest.
Jeffrey Katzenberg isn’t really throwing a party for the benefit of MPTF, right?! It’s a sick joke, right?!… RIGHT?!!!
what i would like to know is how these people can stomach going to these events knowing the price it cost for each event whilst millions are on the edge of losing their homes and without jobs
I ran an algorithm to see if it would be possible to attend every Oscar party and it suddenly dawned on my why I haven’t been invited to any.
As you can tell, Times are Tough all over.
How many companies having big parties have laid off employees in the last 3 months?
I’ll pass on the party to keep everyone working.
Oh how I wish I could crash these. The fear of being arrested and not knowing how to crash….gah.
Gee, maybe Jeffrey Katzenberg and pals can anty-up $10 million for the “little people” who need long term care and aren’t invited to his party.
WTF is Julianne Moore hosting an event celebrating Diamonds in Africa?! I’m shocked she would play hostess for the most exploitive legal industry in the world. Disgusting. How many cheesy Ed Zwick movies have to come out before movie stars stop thinking it’s ok to pimp for the diamond industry?
Jeff Katzenberg is throwing a party for some of our own. With the money raised, the healthy and wealthy should be able to enjoy the soon-to-be expanded amenities of the MPTF retirement community without having to share the lovely grounds with the frail and needy. Jeff’s future vision for the Fund? Taking Care of Ourselves.
For those not on the party list, you are invited to an outside the hotel, sidewalk Awareness event, in honor of the soon-to-be cast off long term care residents. See website for details.
Wow! Look where I won’t be! I will, however, be attending the Trader Joe’s in Toluca Lake and the Home Depot in Burbank this weekend. Jealous? And don’t ask me who I’ll be wearing.
Unless any of these events are being paid for/sponsored by a company receiving a bail out, I see no issues with having these events. Each of these events employs at least 50-100 people here in Los Angeles…Waiters, cooks, valet attendants…all people who need the money to pay for their rent and mortgages. Think things through before commenting!
MrsPeel, I am jealous. Please let me come too.
So much for living in the real world. Continue your circle jerk, morons, while everyone else loses their homes.
Can’t wait for the postings of the phone-cam shots of those pulled together faces darting into the MPTF sharkfest!
To “a caterers” point these events are employing people, but on another note it seems so sick to be celebrating when everything else is going to s%#t. How about a fundraiser? How about donating the money you would spend for this crap to a charity that needs it? Rich get richer…
And yet my stupid sister attends…
I wonder if any of those unfortunate human beings still at the MPTF Extended Care Facility will be watching the TV highlights of Jeffery’s Big Benefit Bash being held in their names?
The Oscars are going to be fantastic this year, and I really hope The Dark Knight wins an award of two. I loved Heath Leaders performance, and I agree with the EverHype (www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) review that gave the move 4.5 stars and called it “Fantastic.” This Oscar would go to the most deserving late actor of my generation – and one who is very missed by his fans.
