I’m told that Tom Hanks is actively looking for new a new entertainment lawyer and is “now out there taking meetings”. This after the Oscar-winning actor recently decided to part ways with Skip Brittenham, the bigtime partner of Ziffren, Brittenham, Branca, Fischer, Gilbert-Lurie, Stiffelman, Cook, Johnson, Lande & Wolfe, LLP. I’ve heard several unconfirmed reasons for Hanks making the move, one having to do with financials and the other service. For the longest time, Hanks was repped by Alan Hergott of Bloom, Hergott, Diemer, Rosenthal, LaViolette & Feldman, LLP, then left to go to Kenny Ziffren’s firm.
