I’m told that actor Jason Bateman recently flew to NYC to do press for his upcoming film, Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. “But Bateman refused to do the scheduled interviews for Conan and The View as those are struck shows. He wouldn’t cross those picket lines,” a source close to the actor explained. “Just wanted you to to know that though we have a no-strike clause in our SAG agreement, we CAN make some stands and SHOULD.” That said, I can’t help but wonder how the marketing and Oscar campaigns for movies coming up are going to be affected by so many talk shows going dark. Or the hosts’ soon-to-be replacements.
