So the new Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair features Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Chris Rock and Jack Black on its cover (and penguins inside the fold-out). But I’m told that the original foursome was supposed to be Will Ferrell, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Stiller and Jack Black. Hollywood sources say manager Jimmy Miller nixed Will’s and Sacha’s involvement claiming they were “bigger” than a shared cover. Uh, what’s Miller smokin’? Because Ben is probably the biggest-grossing comedian in the world right now, and he had no problem sharing the VF limelight with others. (On the other hand, internet rumors last year claimed VF was considering Cohen for a solo pic on the November cover but went with George Clooney. Of course, that was before Borat opened.) Anyway, Stiller suggested Owen and Chris join him on the cover instead. So there you have it.
It Was Will, Sacha, Ben, & Jack, Originally
